Safety Seminars and Club Socials

Several BFC flight instructors are also specially-designated FAA civilian volunteers who conduct monthly Safety Seminars on a variety of topics of interest to pilots. Some of these seminars focus on pilot safety, while others involve club members and others sharing slides and videos of recent trips to fun flying destinations. These events are sponsored and conducted by BFC, but are open to the general public. Some of these seminars feature a great pot-luck lunch or dinner after the event, where pilots and others share stories and talk shop. To get notified about upcoming Seminars, just sign up on our email list. You’ll learn a lot about flying, have a great time, and meet some really interesting people.

The Club also sponsors fun group fly-outs several times a year, where members team up to share the cost of flying to great destinations like Catalina Island, Santa Barbara, the Northern Sierra – you name it. An annual Holiday Party is also on the Club calendar each year, an fun social not to be missed.

Take a Tour, Become a Member

To get started, Contact us to arrange for a personalized club tour and Discovery Flight, or drop us an email. We’ll show you the club facilities and aircraft, and even take you on a short demo flight if you’re interested (Demo Flights Temporarily Suspended). If you decide to apply for membership, you’ll complete an application, review the club rules and procedures with a Club manager, and pay your fees and dues. If you’re already a pilot, you’ll arrange to get checked out in one or more of the Club airplanes. If you’re just getting started, you’ll be paired with an Instructor who will guide you through the process of becoming a pilot. It’s that simple.
